Application Process

The application process is structured to ensure clarity and fairness:

  1. Ballot Registration: Interested individuals must register for the ballot during the specified dates. Entering the ballot is free of charge.
  2. Selection Notification: After the ballot, successful candidates will receive an email notification within two weeks of the ballot’s closure.
  3. Visa Application: Upon receiving the selection email, candidates have a 90-day window to:
    • Complete and submit the visa application.
    • Provide biometric data as part of the application process.
    • Pay the necessary fees, which include the visa application fee and the immigration health surcharge.
  4. Travel Timeline: Selected applicants must plan to travel to the UK within six months of their visa application date.

Financial Considerations

While entering the ballot is free, selected candidates should be prepared for the Visa Application Fee and the Immigration Health Surcharge. This Immigration Health fee grants the UK’s National Health Service (NHS) access. Additionally, applicants must have at least £2,530 in personal savings to support themselves upon arrival.
